Mini-magnetosphere, sunspots and taurids...

Scientists are busy working on a deflector shield to minimise the radiation risk from solar winds to crews on long space missions. At the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory they have created a mini-magnetosphere which you can learn all about here.
Find out about the sun's activity and in particular sunspot activity at the moment.
Taurids should be visible at the moment, find out more about this meteor shower here.
