A family of planets has posed for fab photos around a star beyond our solar system as observatories push the final frontier further out... talking of which, check out this site in a couple of days for the trailer for the new Star Trek movie, due out next year..can't wait!

Mini-magnetosphere, sunspots and taurids...

Scientists are busy working on a deflector shield to minimise the radiation risk from solar winds to crews on long space missions. At the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory they have created a mini-magnetosphere which you can learn all about here.
